...And even MORE on Transparency

As reported by the Commonwealth Fund: HHS Secretary Leavitt announced that
the federal government would publicly disclose the prices that hospital and physicians charge for routine medical procedures.
and in other news, the renowned healthcare strategist, Mr. Newt Gingrich, founder of the Center for Health Transformation shares the same viewpoint when he "applaud[ed] Florida for being the 'first state in the country to openly report a wide range of cost and quality measures for its hospitals and outpatient facilities.'"

I suspect that at some point, both of these fellows will find time to travel to the swing state of Wisconsin and applaud our colleagues at the WCHQ and Assemblyman Gregg Underheim for doing the same thing.

It looks like this reform thing may be catching on. Stay tuned for more, the election of 2008 is just around the corner :-)
